I have loved this last segment of featuring a handful of the really incredible men in COS. Thanks for following, reading and sharing along the way. When I do these posts I start with a specific list and as I run into other people the list starts to expand for the next series. There are so many neat things happening in the Springs and I love sharing the news. I'm always thankful when their stories are shared through you too, it helps promote businesses and ideas as well as spread the word about really good things.
The people behind these ideas, businesses, the economic change, the demographic expansion, and retention, etc., deserve to be celebrated well. These features help me get out of my comfort zone too. It's a little intimidating asking for time out of people's days. They're busy, can be asked a lot of often, many people want to connect with them and I'm honored and grateful when they join me by giving time for our blog. I know that entrepreneurs and people with a good side hustle do not have just have spare time laying around. I ask with low expectation and joy when they return with a yes. Some of these features include very dear friends and some of them, I've only ever said hi previous to our interview + photoshoot so I'm learning alongside you sometimes, either during the shoot or sometimes while reading their answers.
All of that said to say, I'm loving these for the sake of even helping someone to feel seen and for the time to learn more about the who behind the where and what. I feel that our stories desire to be heard, they're made to be heard and when someone offers a platform no matter how big or small I hope that makes one feel significant! During the winding down of these features, Justin and I get to host all that can attend from that series. The first was dinner for the ladies and while we had food at this one too it was much more about the drinks. Thanks to Lee Spirits for sponsoring us.
