Fo55 | Formulary 55, Pueblo, CO
Another memory lane story... while living in the city, I worked at Anthro for a short stint of time. I saw all kinds of product styled throughout the store. Some passable and some left me wanting to spend all of the dollars for. It seems like more product than usual because of the location. I remember walking by a table with new merch and the packaging stopped me. Black and white florals and each of the fragrances singing to my scent soul. And "they're based out of where?" "Pueblo, Co?", Anthro does a great job of educating their team on product line origins and meaningful messages, so I learned about Formulary 55 quickly. Go figure thought... the state I'd left not long before was producing an incredible brand that chased me all of the way to the city. I felt attached. I know it sounds silly, however, I'm perpetually finding good in the places left. The plight of my life and this knowing stirred a connection to the brand for me.
Shortly after returning to CO, I had to opportunity to exchange emails with the co-founder of Fo55 via Colorado Collective, and connecting more directly with Cordelia who owns the company, I started following along via IG. I now find myself inspired even more by her and their compnay. Cordelia shares about her and her partner, business partner + lover. I love that. I respect couples who can work together so closely and still kiss each other goodnight meaningfully. ha! But for real. I'm always thankful for dreams realized and when realities exceed the expecation of dreams, I feel deep gratitude on behalf of the one experiencing this.
I unboxed some of this product in my stories the other day and I'm having all of the fun playing with contrasted light in my studio and at home. I just wanted to jump on and share the images here for you. The candle (above) is currently burning brightly, filling our home with a wonderful fragrance for our guests.
And this perfectly scented candle above, I'm going to savor. I think I'll smell it 15x before I light it. I have this fear that balsam fir will be sold out (because Christmas @ anthro sells out in a day) but as I'm typing this I'm realizing, wait, I can order more.) Okay fine, I won't hoard it.
I'm over here melting for packaging. Some of you may know this but I am SUCH a sucker for packaging. It's gotten me into some seriously iffy product use situations before because of choices made based off of packaging. Other times I overpay because, well, packaging. But this line is well priced, perfectly curated and as you know.... local. As a side note, I really like shaving with oil, I feel like it leaves my skin less dry and it makes one of the routines of life feel a little more luxurious.
I sincerely hope you find yourself exploring their design, fragrances, soaps and everything else that they have to offer. It also makes picking up items at Anthropologie feel very close to home. xx, -k.
