Essential Wholeness in Our Home | Oily Life

Essential Wholeness in Our Home | Oily Life

We started incorporating essential products into our lifestyle when Amos arrived in 2017. He was so congested and Justin and I were utmost concerned about helping him to breathe easy. Was it allergies? Is he fine? Does it bother him? Is it bother us more than him? Is he going to stop breathing? Why is being a parent so emotional? I digress.. Lavendar and (now I would’ve used some of the baby line they have as well) to the rescue!

I watched and learned and researched for three years which is excessive. I wish I’d jumped in earlier. The ones I know who use oils often all favor different oils, however, we’re all incorporating it into our lives and investing in the products because they’re helping us become healthier versions of ourselves. Amos, Justin and I all have our favorites too and while of course I’m the one who has basically built a chem lab, not because you have to with oils but because it’s fun for me, we’re all fans in this home. Why?

  • It feels great to purge worrisome cleaning products from our home.

  • It feels great to lean into what God gave us to support overall wellness instead of grabbing the Advil.

  • It feels lovely to smell fresh fragrances in the home and know they’re good for my body at the same time.

  • It’s nice to be able to offer a friend with an ailment some fashion of support that’s tangible and easy to prepare.
