Gift Guide for Her | Girlfriend, Wife, Sister, Friend, Mama
I LOVE gift giving. It’s not usually at expected times and often I show up to events empty handed where I should have a gift to share but it’s not for a lack of thought…sometimes shopping for others is hard work! That said, I do love giving. It’s just that I want it to be well thought of, packaged sweetly, unexpected, something of need, a deep-deep want or a fun surprise. Sometimes when we buy under pressure it’s less thoughtful and more rushed and feels like it’s going to end up in the donate bin. I’m not trying to be that gift giver. So I’ve prepared a short list of some of my absolute favorite items that also make for really wonderful gifts. They’ll be items that create thankfulness, warm and cozy feelings and will prompt them to think of you each time they pick up the item. I’m just sure of it. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or maybe it’s a Happy Birthday in December…. but whatever it is, I’m thinking it’s going to be just a little happier with these presents being given. Blessings! xx-k PS None of these are partnered or sponsored shares. They’re all items that I’ve paid for and I love using and want others to enjoy too. I linked for convenience below each photo.
I love a good journal. I want them to look like books so that they can live on the shelves of our home. After all, they hold the stories of my heart and of our lives and while I’m sure there are pieces of the story that I’m okay not having passed down, my hope is that my children’s children and theirs understand a bit more of who they came from. I want my journals themselves to tell a story before I put ink inside on their paper. I want them to come from around the world or a well curated shop in town. So to me, a good pen and a $30 journal that’s wrapped in linen or is made of leather feels like love. Click Here to see where I bought this one.
Love or leave me… I like a clean home. Call me crazy but I asked… BEGGED Justin to buy me a vacuum for 2 Christmases and 2 Birthdays before he believed that it wasn’t a trap. Thieves + essential wellness in the home can be spendy and while it’s actually fully worth it the commitment to the cost can hold us back. A gift of a starter kit or a bottle of this cleaner feels like a good gift for her. It will incorporate self care into her routine in a very attainable way. This is my favorite item on the list. It’s actually unisex, so it’s kind of a two for one. It’s my favorite kind of smell in that it’s so specific that after you’ve misted it on, people will know the exact name or they’ll literally take a second sniff to try and let their brain memorize your scent. Either way, it’s a win. And the cutest part is that they create each label specific for the person ordering so that it’s customized with a name. Mine says Mama. It’s not inexpensive but it’s for her and she’s worth it. Click Here to sift through each of their products. You can familiarize yourself with their fragrances in your local Nordstrom.
If you’ve read my blog for long you know that my skin craves this serum. CRAVES. It’s been a part of my daily routine since 2015 and it offers my skin a quinching of thirst that nothing else compares to. Living in CO and traveling to AZ often leaves me in all of the dry climates and I want to support skin health as well as I’m able. Click Here to purchase this serum + see their other products.
Ranch life or city, these rain boots are my favorite. They’re insulated, so they’re extra toasty. They’re easy to pack on a trip, their really comfortable because the fabric is flexible ie. not hard rubber and the sole is cushioned. I learned of them from Joanna Gaines and purchased them through Amazon. Be sure to double check the color that you’re selecting after you’ve chosen her shoe size. Sizing is pretty accurate. They may run a little big, if anything. Click Here to see the pair I all but live in.
That Hygge Life though. Light a candle, grab a book, snuggle with a blanket and sip on that wine, friends. Create that space for her.. She’ll love that thoughtfulness as much as the candle. Sometimes pairing a few really nice small things with a bottle of her favorite drink and bag of bath bombs can make us feel so seen. I love several candles, specifically Formulary 55’s though. I purchased these from Ladyfingers Letterpress in downtown COS, however, you can Click Here to buy them directly from Formulary 55, a Pueblo local company sold all over the nation.
I adore a good blanket. They add texture to a room and soften it if your style is pretty clean lined. Click Here to choose from a beautiful selection
That’s it for now! I hope you have fun shopping and I hope this relieves some of the pressure. There shouldn’t be any… It’s a season of giving from the heart and letting the ones that you love most that you’re thankful for them and love them and want them to pause and enjoy the wonderful life they’ve been given. Thanks for following along. That’s one of my favorite gifts! xx-karen
